Very nice.
I’m curious about Basil’s pedal configuration. Looks like his E9 pedals are on the right? I’ve never seen that before. Or maybe the C6 neck is in front? Sounds like he’s playing E9 though.

Very nice tones on the steel and the dobro and all the ingredients of the recording process.
People say that when Buddy plays ANY guitar he can make it sound good. I'm sure it is the same with you, Basil.
It's the hands that play are the biggest factor in the sound.

A long time ago, around 1979-81 Basil was playing steel for Irish Country Star Philomena Begley at the Wembley Country Music Festival in London, we were friends before that and I was looking forward to seeing him again. His Emmons was stolen from his car overnight and he was left with nothing to play. At that time I manufactured Steel Guitars and was exhibiting them there and he came and asked to borrow one of mine, I spent hours changing a regular set up to his Instructions, Like nothing I had seen before or since, I can tell you though Basil has probably forgot more about playing Steel than most of us ever knew, he got his job done and returned the Guitar. Another player from Canada turned up with nothing to play, he had been told an Instrument would be supplied, well I had to give him one too for his appearance. the best part of the weekend for me was the appearance of Lloyd Green playing Solo.

I actually enjoyed making that DVD, at The Birmingham Sympathy Hall gigs we played to tracks,(For all the artists on the shows) I did all the backings. The band was on those shows just for appearance. All done with Logic and Waves, Universal Audio and others like BIAB and Ez drummer and all the other Tunetrax instruments. Triggered by midi from the six string or the pedal steel. I had/have midi on both. On some of the studio shots you can see some of the gear in the background.
And yes, my pedals are to the right on my E9(added 6th) Neck due to my left leg mobility problem, a remnant from my polio years.
I also have the B-C# on a RKR and E-Eb (D#) on the pedal to the right of my G#-A pedal..BUT, the RKR works and gives me a much longer travel on the B-C# change allowing more expression.
n.b. did you see how I managed to start a sentence with "and" !
This would best represent what Pat and I do nowadays for fun..

wait, you can't play that way... Thats a limited guitar- it has cables, limited pulls, hard playing pedals, only 8 stings per neck, no sustain, very heavy, etc etc.. You need a modern pedal steel to play like that.. ;-) :P ....
