I am experimenting with modeling and not very experienced with effects. I have always just used an amp with reverb! I am not very good with pedals or setting them up,
I was wondering if you would share what your chain is and what amp or modeler you run into.
So far I run steel to VP to Roland JC40 when playing somewhere outside of the house.
At home I run steel to VP to Tonex to a USB mixer with either headphones or Yahama monitors.
Please share your settings if you would!

I often just use an amp with good reverb. I avoid the amp's effects loop unless patching rack gear. My usual effects chain is
Guitar > VP > overdrive > compressor > organ synth > chorus/flanger > slapback delay > "spring" reverb > amp (with reverb). Signal flow is right to left for the most part in the image below:
