Robert "Bob" Utter Sr., Delhi, NY

Post by Larry Jamieson »

My friend, Bob Utter, a local pedal steel player for many years just passed away. Years ago, Bob played steel with Dick Thompson and the Driftwoods. Later, he played with others bands and had two different bands of his own, Pure Country, and Country Blend. Several times, he sat in with my band when we needed a sub steel player or square dance caller. He was never a Forum member but he was a good musician, always friendly and positive, and a long time member of the country music musicians in my area of upstate New York.

I'm sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I didn't know him all that well but, I always found him to be a great guy the times we did get to visit.

Larry, I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. My prayers and sympathies go out for all Bob's friends and family.

I didn't know Bob but there was a lot of great talent in that area including the Fisher Brothers band that I worked a few gigs with.
